The Wild History of The Rebel Magazine

In 1983, Larry Flynt launched The Rebel Magazine. Flynt was known for Hustler magazine but he actually had a magazine empire in the early 1980s, with close to 100 publications. The Rebel was his attempt at a weekly news magazine that would compete with Time and Newsweek.

It was an incredible magazine that reported on many of the biggest scandals of the 1980s, but the story of what was happening behind the scenes at the magazine is even more amazing.
