The Baffling Mystery of the Great Chicago Fire (1871)
The Great Chicago Fire on October 8, 1871, was one of the most devastating fires of all time.
But what many do now know is that as the Great Chicago Fire was burning, another massive fire was destroying the town of Peshtigo, Wisconsin, 250 miles away. This was one of the biggest fires in the history of the world; it destroyed 1.5 million acres.
The Port Huron Fire in Port Huron Michigan was ALSO going on at this time; it burnt 1.2 million acres.
How is it possible that 3 of the most devastating fires in the history of the world all happened on the same night, hundreds of miles apart? Could they have been caused by a comet impacting the earth that night?
