When the famed Penn State football coach and coordinator Jerry Sandusky, known as Coach Jerry by his victims, was arrested in 2011 for serial child abuse, the official story was that Jerry Sandusky was a lone wolf super predator. The story goes, that Sandusky took advantage of at-risk young boys through his charity, The Second Mile, abusing at least 10 young boys over a 10 year period(6).
But what if Coach Jerry was connected to something much larger? What if Coach Jerry wasn’t acting alone, and was in fact participating in a child trafficking ring that spanned from Happy Valley, Pennsylvania, all the way to the most elite private circles in Washington D.C.?
A Review of the Charges Against Jerry Sandusky
Following a grand jury investigation spanning two years, Jerry Sandusky was charged with 52 counts of sexual abuse of young boys from incidents taking place from 1994 until 2009. The findings of the investigation concluded that Sandusky raped and molested boys who participated in his non-profit charity, The Second Mile, which he founded in 1977 to provide support for at risk youth in the state of Pennsylvania.
Sandusky is confirmed to have committed these acts at his home in State College, at the victims’ high schools, on the Penn State campus, and during routine travel all across the country. It is widely accepted that Sandusky’s pedophilic nature was not only known about but was covered up by his peers at Penn State.
Fromer Penn State athletic director Tim Curley, storied Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno, and Penn State University president Graham Spanier, all faced backlash for their roles in concealing allegations made against Sandusky during this tenure at Penn State (5).
Greg Bucceroni & “Uncle Eddie” Savitz
Here’s where things get interesting. After Sandusky’s arrest, his name began being mentioned in similar allegations that took place just down Route 80 from Penn State, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Enter Greg Bucceroni. Currently, Greg is an advocate for child abuse victims, dedicating his life to preventing the very thing Coach Jerry inflicted on so many young men, right there in Greg’s home state of Pennsylvania (17). Before Greg became a champion of child protection, he himself was a victim of one of Pennsylvania’s most well-known pedophiles, Ed Savitz (4).
Ed Savitz was convicted in 1992 for a slew of child sex crimes including deviant sexual intercourse with a minor, indecent assault of a minor, sexual abuse of minors, and corrupting the morals of minors. At the time of his arrest, Savitz was found to be in possession of 5,000 pornographic images of children and over 300 articles of soiled male underwear stored in pizza boxes (7).
At the time of his arrest, one Philadelphia health official claimed that Ed Savitz may have been the single largest contributor to the Philadelphia AIDS crisis (8). Greg Bucceroni claims to have been one of Ed’s original victims, with abuses starting in 1979.
Savitz was well known in Philadelphia, mostly for his philanthropic and charitable behavior. Savitz often donated large chunks of his fortune, despite there being little public clarity on how exactly he had acquired such a sum of money. But Savitz had a different alias, Uncle Eddie, which was well known for another reason by the youth of the city.
Bucceroni describes Savitz’s Rittenhouse Square apartment as looking like a doctor’s office waiting room, with droves of young boys, oftentimes at-risk street kids, performing degenerate acts for Savitz in exchange for cash. Bucceroni claims Savitz was paying top dollar for pornographic images, soiled clothing, boxed/bagged feces, and the ability to perform sexual acts on the boys (3).
However, these strange acts ventured outside of Savitz’s apartment as well. According to Bucceroni, Savitz was a major player in one of the largest child sex trafficking rings of the era, spanning from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, New York City, Washington D.C., and even westward into the midwestern portion of the United States. Similar to Sandusky’s Second Mile, Savitz, in conjunction with real estate developer turned politician Samuel Rappaport, groomed their victims out of the South Philadelphia Boys Club charity (4). Bucceroni claims that outside of sanctioned charity events, Rappaport and Savitz would host parties where the boys from the club were given drugs, alcohol, access to women, and cash, in exchange for sexual favors given to the older men leading the group. Greg notes that one of the largest draws for young men to join the organization was free tickets to Penn State sporting events. This is where the overlap becomes clear (3).
In many interviews, Greg does not shy away from naming names, claiming that he and his fellow victims were trafficked to high profile clients such as Wharton professor Lawrence Scott Ward, hall of fame sports journalist Bill Conlin, Father Bruce Ritter, New York City high school football titan Philip Foglietta (2), and maybe most notably, Jerry Sandusky(3). The Second Mile and the South Philadelphia Boys Club had partnerships as early as 1980, which indicates that if Bucceroni’s timeline is accurate, Jerry Sandusky’s abuses started far before 1994(1) .
A Larger Cabal Takes Shape
If you choose to believe Greg Bucceroni’s witness account, this pins some of the most well-known East Coast child trafficking masterminds operating in the same spaces nearly 15 years prior to the alleged allegations against Jerry Sandusky. Bucceroni describes one sex fueled party, where Savitz, Sandusky, Foglietta, and Lawrence King (of the Franklin Scandal), analyzed and traded stacks of polaroid images of child pornography amongst the group, offering the boys in their respective picture collections as a “thank you” for their invitation to the party. Bucceroni claims that Sandusky nearly chose him but opted for another child at the last moment (1).
Bucceroni alleges that as Lawrence King became more involved in the local trafficking network, the breadth of the trafficking network increased in scale soon thereafter. Greg notes that boys began being trafficked out state to New York City and Atlantic City, but also to Washington D.C. via “Black Larry” King. Greg claims to have been taken to events at powerful political institutions such as the Union League and even the White House (3). Greg firmly claims that pictures and videos were taken at these events, to be used exclusively for congressional blackmail (14).
Bucceroni also alleges that, although he himself did not attend these events, boys were trafficked to events taking place at free masonic lodges and even satanic sex cults in New Jersey (9). Greg describes being told about rituals featuring men in hoods, fires in the woods, and ritualistic sex practices. Just like a scene straight out of Eyes Wide Shut. Bucceroni claims that during the satanic panic era of the 1980s, the Savitz trafficking ring provided boys to these types of rituals very frequently. In an even eerier accusation, Greg claims to have had some peers attend these events and never be seen again (9). At least one satanic occultist group has been confirmed to have operated in the area that Greg alleges his friends were taken. The very same group was also rumored to have murdered a young man during ritual in the 1970s (10).
Final Thoughts
So, was Sandusky truly a lone wolf? Or the final domino in a total cover up of a multi-regional child trafficking ring? Ed Savitz died of AIDS in 1993, and Ward, Conlin, Ritter, and Fogliatta, all faced charges of their own at separate times. However, it is worth noting that Lawrence King avoided serious jail time, as the findings of the Franklin Scandal were ruled “unfounded” by a state grand jury (18).
Theories have swirled around the Franklin Scandal for decades, but could it be that Jerry Sandusky was more than local creep, and was in fact a client/participant in a larger child exploitation ring, just like the Franklin Scandal alleges? Were Coach Jerry’s boys being sent to freemasonic and satanic rituals? Was Lawrence King spared because of the blackmail tapes that Greg Bucceroni claims were created at the Union League and White House? And how did none of this make the docket in the Sandusky trial of 2012?
More Questions Than Answers
The sheer number of strange details surrounding this case makes it hard to piece together every aspect. Outside of what we were able to connect in the above, there are still many questions surrounding those involved.
- What happened to Centre County Pennsylvania District Attorney Ray Gricar? It has been 21 years since Ray Gricar disappeared from central Pennsylvania without a trace. His car was found with cigarettes and ash found inside, despite his family attesting he hated smokers and the smell of cigarette smoke with passion. Could his disappearance be connected to his 1998 inquiry into child sex trafficking in the state of Pennsylvania? Are the rumors that he may have been building a case against a large child trafficking ring potentially accurate (13)?
- Was Ed Savitz obsession with secretion and “fountain of youth” bodily fluids associated with common occultist belief? Savitz sounds a lot like General Ripper in Dr. Strangelove, and even more like actor Jim Carrey in this bizarre interview.
- Why was a Pennsylvania Right to Know request focusing on Ed Savitz outright denied in 2017, 25 years after his death (17)? What is the state hiding?
- How was Joe Paterno’s death preemptively reported by most of the largest media outlets in the country? CNN blames a student run newspaper at Penn State for jumping the gun, but is it common of cable news networks to use such unverified sources for their breaking news (15)?
- Was the 1989 homosexual prostitution call boy scandal tied to the same sex trafficking ring that entrapped Greg Bucceroni? Greg claims to have toured the White House, which is exactly what the Washington Times claimed when the call boy scandal broke (16). Is Bucceroni correct in claiming that Lawrence King was working with Savitz and Sandusky to procure boys for elite politicians? Did Craig J. Spence actually commit suicide?
- How did both Ed Savitz and Lawrence King amass such large fortunes without impressive resumes? Savitz is claimed to have worked for his brother’s company, Savitz Organization, after twice dropping out of college. While Lawrence King, a career politician, is often credited to have had the same career as Jeffery Epstein, “financier”.
- Greg Bucceroni claims that Coach Phil Foglietta was one of the most respected members of the ring due to having the highest-level political connections. Could that be a family tie to former US Ambassador to Italy, Thomas Foglietta? Was Thomas Foglietta truly popular enough to be retained as the Ambassador when his appointer, Democrat Bill Clinton, transitioned the White House to republican George W. Bush? Is it possible that Thomas was able to transcend political parties because of the blackmail information he was privy to (11)? Why was Thomas Foglietta publicly raising concerns about a potential Al-Qaeda terrorist attack on the US Embassy in Rome in January 2001? The January 2001 closure of US embassies in Italy was one of the first emergencies attributed to Osama Bin Laden (12).
- Greg Bucceroni claims that the Parker Spruce Hotel in Philadelphia was the main headquarters for child sex trafficking in the area. Why are the ownership records of this hotel so hard to find? Who owned the hotel during this timeframe of rampant child abuse? There are historical accounts written online that indicate that the property was owned by a company called the Wankawala Organization. Then why is it that the Wankawala Organization claims on their own website that they were founded in 2005?
